This directory "Cyclo-Accueil-Cyclo" (CAC = cyclist welcome cyclist) is a listing of people who volunteer to ofter simple hospitality (a place to stay and a shower) to bicycle travellers who ride through their own area. They volunteer to do this to meet other cyclists and to share the adventure of their tour.
This "CAC" was established in 1983 and the members are mostly from the french bicycle travellers association Cyclo-Camping International. Our organization exists since 1982. Its aims are to allow bicycle travellers to exchange their experiences and information.
Since 1996, we have tried to expand this directory giving it an international dimension (because it's still better to meet local cyclists when visiting foreign countries) and sending it to each listed person as often as possible.

So now we have 3 CAC 's:
- CAC France: around 500 French touring cyclists ready to welcome you in Paris like in some remote areas of France.
- CAC International: 200 touring cyclists living in 36 different countries like Brasil, South Africa or Japan. Visit them on your trips overseas.
- CAC Partners: They are other Bicycle Travellers' Associations who exchange their directories with us. At the moment we exchange lists with the German ADFC and the Deutch Fietsersbond Enfb and since last year Velodach (Switzerland) and Österreich-Dachgeber (Austria)... We're making contacts with others directories. Theses lists are available to those listed in the CAC directory.

The "CAC" hospitality directory is available only to those who volunteer their own in exchange on a reciprocal basis. It's also available to long distance cyclists leaving for a year or more (they can't be at home and on the road at the same time, often they don't have any address), for sure they are very welcome to become a member after their trip. Metropolitan french people are pleased to be member of CCI

To be a "CAC" member is very easy. Please complete the form and send it to us. You wiII be included in a computer list. Everyone in the directory is periodically sent a reminder that they are still listed, and these reminders allow us to reinitiate the list of people who have moved or disappeared.

Please remember common courtesies. Always write or caIl welI in advance and then reconfirm by phoning a day or two before your arrivaI. Likewise, please notify your hosts if you change plans and wilI not visit them. Do not drop in unannounced. As the people listed may be on vacation or otherwise unable to accommodate you. Do not expect anything until you have a confirmation. ArrivaI by car is not wanted. Bedding and food are not generally provided unless special arrangements are made with the host.
